American Organisation "In the Running" selects Foundation for Gold Coast Marathon
American Organisation, In the Running, was formed to raise funds and awareness for some of the most pressing problems facing the world today.
Harvard Graduate and CEO of In the Running, Erin Sprague, set a record in the Guinness Book of World Records when she became the youngest woman in the world to run a marathon on all seven continents.
In the Running conducted extensive research, outreach and communications to select seven localised charitable organisations, each of which represent a pressing humanitarian, environmental or public policy issue facing each continent and the international community.
In the Running selected The Silver Lining Foundation out of all charitable organisations in Australia to support when Erin participated in the Gold Coast Airport Marathon on Sunday 6th July 2008. Erin was impressed with The Silver Lining Foundation's innovative learning and earning model for personal and professional development.
The Foundation wishes to thank Erin and In the Running for their support!
