Iron Bark Ridge Services Rural Team heads to Noosa

The Rural Team at Wondai recently returned from the Noosa hinterland where they have been fence building for a contract they won earlier this year. The contract was for a private landholder and consisted of about 250 metres of fencing around a creek and spillway for a dam. The job was performed under difficult circumstances as it was very slippery at times due to some wet weather, the steep terrain and the many short runs and changes in direction.

The team's work was considered excellent by the landowner and subsequently a second fencing contract has been quoted. This work has also led to 850 metres of fencing and some fancy gateway entrances being constructed not far from the original job. We have also quoted several other smaller jobs whilst there and we have a 30km job to look at West of Rockhampton.

All members of the team led by Danny Hoogstraten found the work tough, yet extremely rewarding and for some of the guys it was the first time from home. This work and the resulting contracts have shown the community what the Iron Bark Ridge Services team can do and that they can be successful in a competitive commercial environment.
