Minister Opens NICED
Minister Opens Silver Lining Foundation's facilities at Wondai.
Wondai, May 31, 2006 - The Silver Lining Foundation, an independent not for profit organisation that supports youth who need a second chance, today opened its facilities at Wondai, 270 kilometres North West of Brisbane.
The Opening was hosted by Minister for Energy and Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Policy the Hon. John Mickel MP. Justice Callinan A.C. of the High Court and Foundation's Patron, as well as well known Aboriginal leader Noel Pearson, were key-note speakers.
The Foundation offers employment and on the job training oportunites to youth from the local Indigenous community at Cherbourg.
Mike O'Neill, CEO of the Silver Lining Foundation said "We want to cultivate success in the young people by offering to them an opportunity to work and train.
