Change for Charity
'Change for Charity' is our onboard appeal that aims to raise valuable funds to help lift the wings of those determined to make a difference, and to encourage those already progressing to rise to greater heights.
With your kind donation V Australia aim to support projects with long term positive outcomes for disadvantaged groups. This month V Australia is very proud to support the great work of the Silver Lining Foundation.
Silver Lining Foundation
The Silver Lining Foundation is dedicated to cultivating success in young Indigenous people who have lost hope both in themselves and in the future. Without hope, they cannot be successful.
Established in 1999, the Foundation operates small businesses from its 235 hectare property near Wondai about 270 kilometres North West of Brisbane and 10 kilometers from the Aboriginal Community of Cherbourg specifically to offer employment and on the job training to Indigenous people.
By offering Indigenous youth good jobs and opportunities to learn real skills specifically in the areas of hospitality, forestry and environment and rural services, the Foundation works to restore their lost 'hope'. In a lot of cases it is the opportunity of employment that gives these Indigenous kids the step up that they need to gain confidence and the self-esteem required to integrate into the wider workforce.

Every little bit helps…
If you would like to help the Silver Lining Foundation continue their good work, during this flight our crew will be conducting a collection for any small change or foreign currency you would like to donate. We are unable to provide receipts for your kind donation today however if a receipt is required you can donate direct via www.silverlining.net.au.
Thank you in advance for your thoughtful generosity.
